My face on The Hendon Mob

Gus Hansen, Devilfish, Henning Granstad, Johhny Lodden, Phil Ivey and...

http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=115487

have all got a profile on the The Hendon Mob Database!

Enjoyed yesterday as I won a €20 rebuy tournament with 22 starters. Got off to a good start, and was Top 6 after end of rebuy/addon. Short stacked after making the mistake of the week. My hand was K Q and flop is Q A J - My opponent moves all in. I lost concentration as I got too focused on knocking out the player. I thought he bet around 3000 (I had around 12,000 chips at that time), and I dont think he had an ace. I call him, and he shows A J. Fair enough. I am surprised when he counts his chips. He went allin with 7000 chips! How on earth could I misjudge that?? I really respect the value of the chips, ha-ha!
Short stacked for the next 2 hours or so, and on final table I'm struggling to stay alive. However, I got good hands at the right time, I pushed the chips and put the guys under pressure. Avoided the silly coin flips, and was slowly rebuilding a nice stack.

Went all in with A 3 suited vs Q Q - picked up a flush on flop. Got A A against Q Q (a big pot), K Q vs A 10 and flop is Q Q 9. Won a monster pot against chip leader by having flopped a well hidden flush. I think I played that hand really well.

Around 10 hands with no action in the Heads up final (I have around 75% of the chips), then my opponent moves all in with his K Q. I look down at my hand which is a K K! Flop is another K. Game over!

€500 - and that did me really good, although I admit the dealer gave me some fantastic hands. No comments about my cash game play later on. I'm definitely a tournament player :-)

A very enjoyable night.

Taking it easy today

Tired! Been 3-4 hectic days preparing for the big online Liverpool WF final last night. I've hardly left the house for a week! I think it's time to start moving my ass again, and I'm heading for a dip in the local aqua centre. I ate too much during Xmas, slept a lot and no gym at all. No complaints though, I really needed it - as all the work ideas, projects and festival planning take a lot of energy and focus. See you later. 'Uncle Allan'
PS! Yeah, I finally got a haircut - and no, I didnt lose any bet. I planned to cut it this short. Haha.

And the winner is: THOMAS SANDE FROM SOLA!!

CONGRATULATIONS!
Thomas Sande (komp1) from Sola/Norway won the first Liverpool WF Super Finale. The €2,000 VIP package incl. a VIP Festival entry pass!

We will come back with a full interview tomorrow. Liverpool fan Thomas was a member of 'Team 10Kings' after winning our tournament on the Student Cruise 1. You're doing well, mate! The only word which came out of him after winning the final was....: 'JACKPOT!'

Jørn Vaage (VikinGutt) lost heads up after holding a strong chips lead when there were only 3 players left. (Life is hard being a Leeds fanatic). However, his hand 3 3 knocked 20LEGEND_ (an Oslo Manc) out of the final.

I'm not surprised if Thomas Sande gets a team together and challenge 'Team 10Kings' in February! Just wait and see..

Only 10 players in the final so far...

..and the winner walks away with a €2,000 VIP package!

Here are the finalists:
VikinGutt
bifta1
ToreM1
cruel_zip
FrittVilt
alkatraxxx
komp1
.A
20LEGEND_
terjejo

You can still register for the €250+€2+ Liverpool WF Final starting 19.00GMT. Good luck!

'terjejo' (Tonstad) qualifies for the FINAL!

Home town: Tonstad/Norway
Name and Age: Terje, 30 y.a

Congratulations! So how do you feel?

Thanks, I’m satisfied with my own play tonight as it ran smoothly from the start.
I can only remember one hand going against me: I sit with J J and the flop is 5 10 J – and I go ‘all in’. My opponent who is fairly short stacked sits with K Q – and he gets StraightFlush when A came on the turn! Nice hand!

How often do play poker?
I love poker and I play quite a lot. A couple of hours every day do me good.

And you are one of the poker mad football supporters?

Yeah, definitely. My team is Lillestrom (12 years as a player) in Norway and in England I support Liverpool. Now I wanna go back to Liverpool in Feb to improve from my 3rd place in the 10KingsPoker Invitational in October – and it will be cool to meet Jan Mølby again.

I think Mølby is looking for revenge…
Hey, I felt bad about that. Knocking the big legend and one of my all time heroes out of the tournament.. Sorry.. To be honest, that night was something I will never forget.

See you in Feb then? You ready to take Mølby & ‘Team 10Kings’?

First of all, let's focus on Monday’s big final. I really want that €2,000 VIP package! My friend has already qualified for Liverpool Winter Festival, and now it’s up to me as finding a third person will be easy. Good luck to the guys tomorrow.

WOW! FLOP it Like it's HOT...

Happy new year to everyone! Liverpool Winter Festival 2009 coming up. A friend of mine said yesterday: "Poker, football and beers.. A fantastic combination! What can actually beat that?"
I really don't know. Maybe Fiona will join us for the Main Event? I can only recommend this clip, guys.. :-) Apparantly she's got a fantastic poker face too!
